Advanced Course in Agricultural Business Management
Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, Gloucestershire
Commenced 1963
The programme comprises pre-residential online content, followed by a two-week residential programme at the Royal Agricultural University and post-programme online workshops and coaching.
While attending this two week residential course, individuals will develop an understanding and awareness of strategic issues likely to affect their own business. They will learn management and leadership skills and develop analytical techniques to help them explore possibilities and decide how best to take their own businesses forward in future.
They will understand how to focus on the key issues associated with managing agri or food supply chain businesses and the business environment factors both nationally and internationally. Delegates also gain greater insight into the political, financial and environmental challenges affecting the future of rural industries.
As an integral part of the learning process delegates are encouraged to reflect on and share the experiences, challenges and opportunities within their organisations. Working in teams and interacting with a wide range of highly respected visiting speakers, delegates are taken on an experiential learning trajectory.
This is an ideal course for owner managers of a farm or agri-business, and those who have had an advanced education, ie university although this is not essential.
