For many years The Company has been associated with The Surrey Docks Farm based on the banks of the Thames facing Canary Wharf. It is a little oasis of countryside in the heart of urban dwellings. The farm is a registered charity and rents 2.2 acres from Southwark Council. It was started in 1975 and moved to its current site in 1986.

“A little farming oasis in the heart of London’s docklands.”

The farm has a wide range of animals for the visitors to see and interact with. There are many traditional farm animals goats, sheep, cows, pigs and chickens plus donkeys, geese, rabbits, turkeys ferrets and bees.

The Farm has a large ‘petting’ area in the middle of the farm which was recently resurfaced and new drains installed with the help of the Company where children can stroke and interact with the friendly inmates. The farm also provides a haven for a number of disadvantaged adults who help and they also provide learning opportunities to students on animal care courses plus work experience to others. Visit the Farm website and see the huge range of activities that the farm is involved in and sign up to receive their very interesting regular E-newsletter.
