Date: 27th July 2016
Venue: City of London
On Wed 27 July, the Lord Mayor's Sheriffs, Alderman Charles Bowman and Dr Christine Rigden , accompanied by four cavalry from the HAC, toured the City on horseback, visiting a number of Livery Halls, collecting funds for the Sheriffs and Recorder's Fund, a Charity for rehabilitation of those who have spent time, courtesy of Her Majesty's Pleasure.
Of the six Marshals, three were members of the Farmers' Livery: Past Master Tony Alston, Liveryman Mary Foster and Sheriff's Consort, Liveryman Stephen Rigden. Most of the Halls visited gave generously and offered refreshments befitting those on horseback and marshalling, resulting in two very happy Sheriffs and nearly £20k added to the Fund.
